The type of psychotherapy I offer is
called gestalt therapy. This is a form of psychotherapy which finds its roots in
psychoanalysis and existential philosophy. Important concepts for gestalt
therapy are:
-
your personal relationships
(family, friends, colleagues)
-
your environment and personal
conditions
-
your desires and needs, and how
you are able to know what they are and work for them
-
your emotions
-
your pace of life
-
your body awareness
-
your creativity and spontaneity

In a therapy session, therapist and
“therapee” can talk about any issue that is important for the latter, whatever
it is. In gestalt therapy we are not focused on very specific issues or
symptoms. Instead, we try to reach an understanding of the person’s experience
that helps produce the necessary changes for his or her life. I usually offer a
free assessment appointment. My main mode of working is in individual adult
therapy, in a Gestalt-therapy style (present-centred, emotion-centred, with a
focus on creativity, using artistic mediators, etc.) |
