Understanding how I work:
My starting point is offering
you a consultation. A
consultation is an opportunity
for us to meet and explore your
expectations and understanding
of therapy. During consultation,
you will gain a sense of what it
is like to work with me.
The consultation session is an
opportunity for you to take time
and space to talk about what is
happening in your life. Whilst
having an experience of being
valued, accepted and understood
and to see how psychotherapy
maybe helpful to you.

description
Psychotherapy is about making
meaning and gaining awareness of
self in order to cope with all
life’s stressors. Psychotherapy
works with relationships and
self, in order to feel more
content and able to manage
your inner world.
I will endeavour to ensure that
you feel safe, contained and
secure while engaged in
psychotherapy with me. This is
important as therapy can feel
intense and challenging, it can
be hard work, at times, but is a
good investment in your
self-care.
We will work at your pace and
with the topics that you bring.
I will aim to offer you a
relationship, that supports you,
in a non-judgmental and caring
manner.
My first session
The first session is a
consultation, where we take the
time to really think together
about your needs and how
psychotherapy can help.
The duration of consultation and
on-going psychotherapy sessions
is 1 hour.

appointments is no less than 24
hours notice.
